My Brainy Little Sister! Today, (ironically, April 1st) is the day when college acceptance letters go out. Songya received two letters today - she was accepted into both Stanford (STANFORD!!!!!!) and Rice. We are all sooooooooo excited and proud!! This is fabulous!!!! 8:37:30 PM    comment []

My Stuffed InBox For an entire week, up to until two days ago, I was the proud "owner" of an e-mail inbox that was down to just 5 e-mails. I keep my inbox cleaned out - no small task - I receive about 75 non-junk e-mails a day. So, I definitely try to stay on top of my always burgeoning e-mail pile. However, after two unbelievably packed days, my in-box is up to 100 e-mails - and this is after culling out the junk. Each of those 100 e-mails have to be read and processed by the Slat Rat mental machinery. The vast majority of folks that I know do not work with clean inboxes. However, I do. So it drives me nuts if I have more than about ten e-mails in my inbox. UPDATE: As of 8:40 PM, I'm now down to just 9 items in my in-box. I am DONE for the night! whew! 7:37:28 PM    comment []
