Given that today was Spring, one would think that the Lagoon Ice might have hightailed it out of the Lagoon.

However, that was not the case.

The ice is looking more rotten by the day. But it still looks pretty ensconced.

So, Carol is our eliminated entrant in the Westchester Lagoon Ice Classic. She had guessed May 1st - which could have very well been the winning guess, if we had a little more wind and a little more rain.

Christie has the guess for tomorrow - May 2nd. I really don't think the ice is going make it out tomorrow. However, I do think either May 3rd or 4th are possiblities. But, we need either more really warm weather or some wind and rain. If none of those occur, the ice will hang around for a while longer.

Well, today was Spring. The temperature nosed above 60 degrees - today's official high was 61 degrees - not bad at all. I was comfortable in a short sleeve shirt - it is ming boggling to try to imagine not needing a coat.

Of course, when Peter and I went out to the driving range at 7:00 PM, Spring was over - the temp was in the low 50's and the wind was blowing - very cold indeed.
