In most places, Easter weekend is a glorious weekend of sun, blooming flowers, and green grass.

Well, today here in Anchorburg was definitely a day of glorious sun. But as you can see from the pictures below, we have a looooooooong way to go before flowers and green grass.

This year's winter ranks up near the top in total snowfall. There is a lot of snow. It's gonna take awhile for it all to melt.

Here's Clem standing on the park benches at the Northwest end of Westchester Lagoon.

Speaking of Westchester Lagoon, it's almost Ice Classic time!

Here's the still frozen mouth of Fish Creek where it drains into the Inlet.

Note the ice bergs out in the Inlet.

A very buried trash can.

I don't this poor trash can will emerge until sometime in late May - it's located in a very shady spot. It's gonna take a long time for all that snow to melt.

Clem headed South on the Coastal Trail on the West End of Westchester Lagoon.

That big radio tower is an Anchorage landmark - the KENI radio tower. It's been here pretty much forever...
