Peter and I visited the "driving range" at Full Swing Golf today. Full Swing is an indoor golf simulator facility. It's difficult to describe - basically, you're indoors in a 13 by 20 foot stall that's 10 feet high. You take a "full swing" - hit the ball like you normally would. The ball whaps into a big ol' padded curtain. The ball's flight is tracked by an infared system that extrapolates out distance, angle, and direction. It's pretty cool - once you get used to taking a full swing indoors.
Anyhoo, I'm practicing away - I love my new driver!
But, my best swing of the day was a 147 yard 7 iron shot. Peter was totally blown away - as was I. I think I won the family 7 iron competition.

Just one more day to get your entry into the Westchester Lagoon Ice Classic. The entry deadline is midnight tomorrow night!
The leads at the east end continue to grow but the ice still doesn't look like it's going anywhere soon!
I'm also thinking I should run another contest on when the snow in our front yard will melt. It's still about two feet deep - because the yard is on the North side, that snow is definitely hanging around.
Peter is very depressed - he's even contemplating shoveling the front yard...
