We finally received some serious rain - it poured all night long and into mid morning. As a result, most of the snow in our yard is gone. Which is amazing - Peter thought we'd have snow in the front yard through May. But, I bet it will be gone by Monday.

Which brings us to the Westchester Lagoon Ice Classic!

Yesterday, the entire east end was ice free - it was startling. After last night's rain, the remainder of the Lagoon ice was looking pretty soggy.

Plus the weather service is predicting 64 (!) degrees tomorrow. Wow!!!

If we get anywhere near 64, the ice won't last much longer. It could head out on Saturday or Sunday - May 1st or 2nd.

So, here are the guesses:

  • May 1: Carol
  • May 2: Christie
  • May 3: Mom
  • May 4: Phil and Dr. L.
  • May 5: Brad and Gordon
  • May 6: Daughter of Ski Boy - Alix
  • May 7: Robin
  • May 10: Erin
  • May 27: Son of Ski Boy
  • July 4th: The Ski Boy
