Today is definitely a big time travel day: 16 hours from the time I left the Winfield to when we are scheduled to land in Anchorburg. Double ugh...
I must admit though, that I added an extra hour on this trip. I left Winfield early so that I could do another grain elevator geocache on the way to the Wichita Airport. This cache was the Rock Grain - Main Location geocache located in the eponymous Rock, Kansas.
It was a glorious morning. Sunny, dewy and about 50 degrees. However, my geocaching luck did not match the weather. I could not find the cache - and this was supposed to be a fairly easy cache to find. But the ol' slat rat was definitely flumoxed by this one. After an hour of intense searching, I finally gave up around 9:15 AM - I had to scoot if I was going to make my flight. Man - I just hate giving up on these things. Oh well - it will be there next year.
