A Beached Patriotic Whale As we have for the past fourteen years, we celebrated Independence Day with my Government Hill neighbors and our potluck picnic. Oh my - the food was fabulous. Marinated grilled chicken, some sort of herbed beef roast, a squash and bean salad with peanut sauce, jalapeno grits, fresh peach cobbler, home made ice cream, an incredible homemade chocolate cake, pomegranite margaritas, and on and on.
