We woke up this morning to an inch and a half of new snow - which wasn't a complete surprise. Late last night, we walked out into the snow as we left a very nifty black tie optional fund raiser - a night of great jazz singing by our friend Cat for Bean's Cafe.
Of course, we still have a ton of snow on the ground, so it's not as if our little snow storm buried a batch of early blooming jonquils. Actually, I had hoped it would rain this weekend. As we work our way into breakup, a winter's worth of road sand becomes uncovered and is blown all over the place. The air quality was pretty darn grim this last week. But, even this small bit of new snow should help tamp the dust down until the street cleaners can get out and do their thing.
BTW - this is my least favorite Sunday of the year. Daylight Savings so sucks.
