Last week, I announced a contest, The Best Bar Names. The contest was inspired by Suzanne's great post on the Steppe Inn bar in Mongolia.
The response was great - all sorts of nifty entries.My favorites were: The Swerve Inn submitted by Julia; the very risque, Beaver Liquors, nominated by Kim; The Tumble Inn suggested by Alix; and Skinny Dick's Halfway Inn submitted by Phil (Phil's right - how could we have forgotten that one? It's an Alaska Institution!).
I have to say that the decision is tough - but I'm going to declare co-winners: The Swerve Inn and The Tumble Inn - with Beaver Liquors a close second. Although perhaps I should give it a prize also just because Kim mustered up the courage to actually submit the entry.
So, I will figure out how to get the appropriate margarita mixes off to Julia and Alix (and probably Kim too!!!!).
