Man. I hoofed it from one end of San Francisco to the other. All the way up California, past the Powell Street cable car intersection, to the very tip top - which by the way, is steeper than one can possibly imagine - almost 1 mile straight up. After bagging three caches at the summit, I headed back down to a Ski Boy favorite, Cafe Claude (Croque Monsieur heaven!). Then off to SFMoMA where I did some very heavy duty shopping at the museum gift store. I'm rationalizing my rather substantial SFMoMA American Express bill by telling myself that 2/3's of the purchases were Christmas presents. There are definitely going to be some very happy recipients of Slat Rat Christmas Cheer.
I bagged another cache on the way back to my hotel which is located in the Embarcadero district. Changed clothes for dinner, headed back out, back up the hill to Union Square and the most delightful dinner at Colibri with my cousin Lisa and her Sweetums, Rick! We had a fabulous time! Talked a mile minute. Got caught up on all the family doings.
After dinner, headed back down the hill to the Slat Rat base camp. Whew. My feet hurt. I walked almost nine miles today. My wallet also is feeling a bit strained. The San Francisco Chamber of Commerce is definitely pleased with my visit.
Tomorrow: Oakland A's baseball with Rick, Jillian, and Lisa, geocaching (of course), and dinner in Walnut Creek. Should be a complete and total blast!
Here's Rick and Lisa

Me laughing at something Lisa said.

The Bay Bridge. This shot was actually taken last night after I had dinner at the Slanted Door.
