I seem to be in full attention deficit mode in this week’s reading. Flitting between Coraline, Stevermer’s When the King Comes Home, Stanley Fish, and the long-neglected hardcover Saylor. I might as well have waited for the paperback.
JAG snuck a look into my car during the lunchtime walk and started chortling; somewhat embarassed, I later started rummaging through the books, only to find the latest APR lying on top of Hecht, Kees, and Stevens. Luckily, I have resisted the temptation to wander on over to the mall and its charmingly large Borders. Whenever I get the urge, I try climbing over the books drowning my vehicle.
Focus... on... Coraline, I guess.

In the rush of announcements streaming from the MacWorld Expo, one that almost passed me by was the new X11 beta. Overheard, in the East Village, one young woman, saying to another as they crossed the road: "He said he feels pressured all the time: pressured that I want him to be monogamous." [by way of Gawker]

Ugh. Modem keeps going out, and the hotel charges (non-expensable) are accruing, and it’s only a 24000 bps link! Painful.
Also painful: using a two-year old Photoshop in Classic. I need to upgrade soon.
