Andrew Plotkin, Zarf, the subject of my second post back in March, and first submission to Slashdot, has posted some pictures of the posters he created for The Martian Landscape Art project. Algorithmic art, which has been gaining some ground in exhibitions lately. Can’t find the NY Times article. Maybe later. [!!!]

It is also to be noted that it was through his site that I learned about the game Werewolf, which seems to be going the rounds of New York literati as the variant “Mafia,” if Gawker is to be believed.

Oh, just explore.

I first tried to install Parsec some years ago when MacAddict had an installer for it on its disc. It choked my PowerBook, laid it low: I never got to see it. But the idea was so cool: like a Privateer amongst a real trader community, or a MUD with spaceships, on a number of local systems, each system on one server. I lost track of the project, but here it is, popping up on Slashdot, going open-source. If I recall correctly, the original implementors did not want to release it back then because they did not want to lose the shared vision.
