Microsoft's Digital Restrictions Management-in-a-Box

So, Microsoft announces, just in time for the holiday shopping season, an entertainment-centered computer, built by HP. Of course it's crippled by MS digital restrictions management, meaning, among other things, you can't burn a CD with with anything recorded to the hard drive--even if you have the legal right to do so.
