More recognition for Tara Sue and friends

In the Online Community Report, author Jason Lefkowitz compares Tara to Abe Lincoln and Harry Truman, and eloquently describes why Tara, Jennifer, and Jim are so important.

Saturday, 9/21/02: Jason posted at Slashdot, asking for reaction to his column. Here's what I wrote:

Jeff--

Saw your post on Slashdot asking for reaction to your column on Tara Grubb.

I think you did a fine job of laying out why Tara's candidacy--and those of Jennifer Medlock and Jim Capo as well--are important. It's not just the opposition to Coble and Hollywood's pawns. It's about a new means of communicating with constituents, and building constituency beyond gerrymandered district borders. It's unfortunate that too many /.ers focus on the perceived futility of Tara's quest, and miss the potential. Someone has to be first.

Keep up the good work!

Fred

Then see Tara's rant on piracy vs. privacy. You go, girl!
