In Virginia, they say breeding is everything. In North Carolina, we say it's just good fun. But here comes Bryce Christensen to say breeding is essential to marriage. The Southern Utah University professor told AP reporter David Crary that defending marriage means doing something about those couples who engage in "deliberate childlessness" (found via Chewie World Order.) No-fault divorce also must go. More Christensen: "Homosexuality is principally a behavior. Evidence that it is genetically influenced is no stronger than that indicating that alcoholism, pyromania, and kleptomania are genetically influenced." 6:01:24 PM comment [] |

BizJournal of the Triad on the meltdown at Bostic Construction, one of the largest apartment-builders in the country: "Bostic Construction Inc. has hired a turnaround specialist who is trying to keep the Greensboro-based apartment developer out of bankruptcy even as creditors file suit alleging they are not being paid." More from the BizJournal's Paul Davis: "Bostic Construction...was the nation's second-largest apartment builder just two years ago. The company, created in 1991 by brothers and former NFL players Jeff and Joe Bostic, had more than $200 million in revenues last year, according to Business Journal research." Kevin Sites, the reporter who broke the story of the Marine shooting an unarmed Iraqi in Falluja, uses his blog to tell his side of the story. He addresses his post to the Marine unit with which he travels. Sites: "It's time you to have the facts from me, in my own words, about what I saw...I want you to read my account and make up your own minds about whether you think what I did was right or wrong. All the other armchair analysts don't mean a damn to me." Read the whole thing, please. 8:26:58 AM comment [] |
