Because Ted's throwing a party. And even Anneke is there. From left: the discerned woman on the left is unknown. The guy on the moped is Mary Lou Monroe from Charley's Girls. Then, there's your Cartoonist. And then Ted. And here's Flattermann by The Neat (Cartoonist: Rhythm guitar; Ted: Keyboards). Ted, have fun. Me, I'll just stay in London and hope certain people will keep their mouths shut. :-) [The Cartoonist]

Republican For Dean, Via Joho the Blog
Republican for Dean. Michael Cudahy has written a terrific explanation of why he, who has supported many a Republican all the way back to Goldwater, is supporting Gov. Dean. Senator Jim Jeffords On Leaving the Republican Party
Declaring Independence. Former Republican Jim Jefforts of Vermont reviews the emperor's wardrobe (via tompaine.com). [Link]
Some people might not have agreed with my decision to leave the GOP two years ago, but at least I did it for the reasons I said I did. I was honest about what brought me to that decision.
What makes the actions of the Bush administration so troublesome is the lack of honesty.
It amounts, in the end, to a pattern of deception and distortion; ultimately that does not respect the wisdom of the American people.
