Buy Broadband From Your Neighbor [Slashdot]

This is the second article I've read today on customer satisfaction and the inability of companies to track it correctly.  I remember the last time I was in the VW dealership having work done to my Jetta.  The service guy reminded me I would get a call from VW headquarters and that the would like me to put more than a good word in for them.

This happened when I was in Lansing too.  When called, I left unsatisfactory remarks to VW HQ and was called the next day by the dealership to ask for my reasons.  I wouldn't say I was harrassed, but they certainly were not happy about my words.

Don't get me wrong I love my Jetta.  I just think they have the emphasis on the wrong things.

I've got to imagine Volkswagen puts such a high price on customer satisfaction that it has backfired on them.  The dealers are worried about getting high marks that the information is skewed by covering the truth.

Rob Nelson found a way around it. Cool.  Not sure if I have the guts to take apart my little friend and cut a hole in his backside.

There is always thought provoking reading at TR.  Take a gander at this article.  I was surprised at the areas cited. It wasn't the normal 10 that you get from the rest of the media out there.

"Technology Review: 10 Emerging Technologies That Will Change the World. But in this special section, Technology Review's editors have identified 10 emerging technologies that we predict will have a tremendous influence in the near future. For each, we've chosen a researcher or research team whose work and vision is driving the field."

iMAgiNiff.

"Buffalo Games' iMAgiNiff wins this week's Major FUN Award for giving people a fun way to get personal, and interpersonal. It asks people to reveal what they think about each other in a way that, under other circumstances would border on intimidating, but the spirit and art of the game keeps it safely on this side of genuine hilarity."

This looks very promising.  I drop the bucks right now to be able to stream DiVX encoded video to my TV.  It certainly is a whole heck of a lot better than burning it onto a disc.

Digital Media Adapter.

I had a dream about this last night. It is weird what your subconcious can dig up.  I can't remember the details, but the image was clear as a bell.

Time certainly seems to be running short these days.  I made pizza from scratch tonight in the bread maker.  Happy.
