60GB Nomad Jukebox Zen.
"Apple's 30GB iPod has only been out for a couple of days, and it's already been rendered obsolete. The newest version of Creative's Nomad Jukebox Zen, announced just today, will have double the storage capacity - 60GB - and cost a $100 less. Of course, the iPod still tops the Nomad in terms of design." [via Gizmodo]
The sheer amount of songs a mp3 player holds is important, but the design and user interface edges. Don't get me wrong. 60GB is a lot of space. Unless Creative makes significant changes to the interface and software, Apple still has their spot in the bag.

Sorry, I couldn't resist.
"A popular new version of Big Brother online has been created by a Norwegian artist: This time with birds instead of people as the "contestants." Magne Klann put a wooden birdhouse in a tree at Bogstad Gaard in Oslo with a webcam inside it. The daily life of the birds using the house -- replete with lamps, a TV and pictures on the wall -- are shown on his website. A family of blue tits is currently occupying the house, but other birds have used it. "One could call it art but for me it is a social realistic experiment with birds," said Klann. He confessed he got the idea from Big Brother, and just swapped people for birds. But he said there would be no evictions."

I keep waiting for the human race to fight back against reality television. In the meantime, I have the feeling we'll see more art reflecting on it. I got a kick out of Magne Klann's framing of birds as humans.
They act like us - we act like them, no?
