The Cassini spacecraft passed Jupiter a few months ago and JPL has posted some wonderful images on the mission site.
A big worry of mine is that real space science will be drastically cut in the next decade with huge budget deficits dictating a space budget that will probably be focused on fixing the manned program. Manned flight is popular with the public, but currently produces very little real science.

How much would you spend on a treehouse?
A bit of searching turns up a few fine places. Some of them cheat in the sense that they aren't really part of the tree, but others are the real thing.
Of course the ambitious wealthy building could model something after Lothlorien.

Minnesota Public Radio has a fine technology show called Future Tense. It doesn't exist in my area at times that I would listen, but you can pick up the shows on the webpage.

The Danes are getting into wind energy in a big way. This particular project will supply two percent of Denmark's electricity!
In the US there have been serious siting problems with offshore proposals (largely from people who don't want this sort of thing in their backyard), but the English and Danes are moving forward with impressive projects.
