[Item Permalink] Videoconferencing on Mac OS X -- Comment()
It seems that the new iChat AV software by Apple does not currently support H.323. However, there is a Xmeeting project at Sourceforge, which develops an application called ohphoneX for H.323 videoconferencing on Mac OS X. As I don't currently have a camera, I can't test the software right now. Also, a version of Gnomemeeting has been ported to Mac OS X. In addition, it seems that SquidCam will have H.323 support in version 2.0, according to beta testing which is going on.

I haven't been using Matlab 6.5 lately, and had to find out how to make it run under the X11 software by Apple. Fortunately Mac OS X Hints offered a nice solution. (I used the command open -a X11.) In addition, I had to manually start the license manager lmgrd, what a pain.
