Voice of Authority

In an extremely open ended format, we had our fourth installment of the Stop the FTAA hour via High Point's WMFR's Voice of Authority program on each weekday from 2-3pm (AM1230).

Various groups and organizaitons have bought time slots under WMFR's the "Voice of Authority" umbrella. Our Stop the FTAA group has the every other Monday slot.

So far our format has been to talk about the FTAA specifically but also about how in general at all levels of governance, we the people continue to loose control. (Amendment One, COG's, regional river basin boards, etc.) Your host is Marty Elkes ---with co-host Jim Capo for three of the shows so far. Station anchor J.J. Jefferies is our ad hoc interviewer as necessary and man at the controls.

We probably need a broader title for our group to fly under as well as a disclaimer on having to be introducedunder the station's ominous sounding "Voice of Authority" moniker. I suggested, "The Anti-Communist Hour" or "The Birch Hour" but that doesn't seem to have the marketing zip we are looking for either. We come on right between Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity so maybe we can play something off those two bookends.

After playing it on air twice yesterday, we have settled on our theme song.
