Finding Money in School Budgets During my campaign I was asked to give an example of how public schooling could be improved without spending more money. For my answer I suggested that public schools should (as they like to say in educational parlance) focus on their core competencies. A review would likely show that building maintenance should not be on the list. Thanks to my friend Mike Lacy, I was able to give this example of money being saved in a Holland Michigan school district (about 1/10th the size of the GCS.) 6:18:48 PM![]() |
