Return of the Mystery Maker

OK, I didn't get around to guessing last week's Ceramics Today Mystery Maker.

I'm 1 for 2 at the moment, missing Nikolai Suetin, but getting Lucie Rie.

For this week, I'm going with George Ohr. That thin bit between the lid and the spout, as well as the upper lip of the spout, and the complete circle of the handle, just look a tad out there...like Geoge Ohr himself. The teapot looks quite "old school" which places it awhile back.

When I was at Utah State University. I did several of the posters for the Ceramics Guild's sales. I often featured a picture of George, with his zany moustache. Once I had him as the portrait on a dollar bill, wearing a Santa hat..I'll need to dig up a copy of that...

Hmm.... looks like the editor(s) at Ceramics Today are being quite careful with their file names...not that I would stoop that low
