Astronomical Surface Decorations on Ceramics, Japan part VII. Still not much luck- I used the modern Japanese names for the signs of the zodiac, as shown on Judy Shorten's site.  (She does nice constellations on terami, Japanese woven thread balls.) I then searched on Google for ceramics that had those zodiac names in their description... to no avail. I was getting towards the end of my search when I stumbled upon this 19th C Satsuma Vase with Zodiac Animals so I am not at a complete loss. 2:37:22 PM
