Modern Teabowl Aesthetic- (Styrofoam) Going back a couple of days to the notion of a plastic cup having aesthetic value (in some quasi-japanese ceramic tradition, vis-a-vis the common Korean teabowl.) The closest I could come was the classic 4 oz. squat food contanier by Dart. However, this lead me to Tom Friedman, who gained notoriety by selling a styrofoam cup for $30,000 and does some real cool work. And then there is J. Jules Vitali's, styrogami. |
