Astronomical Surface Decorations on Ceramics, Japan X Stop the presses...We are going back to Japan... John Neely wrote me a very helpful post, including a link and a paraphrase about a ceramic piece that has part of constellation on it. The fifth image in this pictorial list of ceramic surface patterns includes a partial constallation.  (direct link) John also passed along some handy words and phrases to use for my research, so we'll take another stab at Japanese ceramics and star patterns.
