I continue to looking at the suggested terms to see if I can get some info on this type of decoration on a Japanese pot....
seishin - star dragon worshipped in early Japanese religion

- seishin tamba - 11 hits, seems to be proper names
- seishin tôgei no hits.
- seishin tôji - 1 hit, proper name.
- seishin yakimono no hits.
- seishin ceramic - 29 hits, nothing really, but did find some rather nice sculpture by Sugiura Yasuyoshi via e-yaimono.net
- seishin pottery - 87 hits, none helpful, but did find an interesting note on Miyajima-yaki pottery where the clay is mixed with sand from a local shrine.
- seishin clay - 276 hits, a quick look but found nothing helpful.
- seishin vase - 102 hits, none helpful.
- seishin pot - 191 hits, none helpful, without looking at the similar ones..
- seishin art - 4210 hits, didn't find anything after the first couple of pages...so gave up!.
- seishin ancient - 968 hits, didn't find anything after the first couple of pages here either...so gave up!.
