Glaze Names

What can I say, Potters know that the color blue sells.  I don't know of any potters who have done scientific polls, but there is a whole host of anecdotal evidence that supports it.

Who buys blue?  For potters it seems to be folks that could be seen as 'old fashion' as is exemplified by a plate being described as 'mother-in-law blue.'

....and the definitive mother-in-law blue plate at the 2003 NCECA auction.

Can you now look at any blue plates without that in the back of your mind?
