I reformatted my hard drive.  Wow, the computer runs so much smoother after you've done that.  When will we get computers that are usable by normal people????  I mean, you really shouldn't have to reformat your hard drive every 6 months.  I'm really looking forward to the day when we can get all of the Windows features and development support on Linux and get off this dependency on something that's really great, but excludes people who don't have help from tech experts.  This is ridiculous.  Oh well, I'm not a Microsoft basher, I'm more of a Microsoft groupie than anything.  However, in general we have a long way to go to make computers the ubiquitous tool that they should be.

I'm very impressed that all of my Radio files and backups were restored quite easily.  I basically backed up my entire Radio directory onto a Zip disk, and then restored the data files.  It now crashes when I close it.  I don't know why, but it doesn't seem too harmful, so I'm not going to worry about it.

Today I was in an all-day class for my hospice volunteer training.  We went to a funeral home.  It was weird, being there.  They make funeral homes seem so charming and cozy.  It's a trip.  But it wasn't too bad of an experience.  All in all, I'm still looking forward to doing this, so maybe it's the right thing for me.
