Ouch!!!
Tino Martinez did not start Tuesday after his injured left arm got worse overnight. Martinez was hit by a pitch on the arm in a loss to Milwaukee on Sept. 17. The first baseman sat out the next two games before playing the entire 13-inning marathon win over Houston Saturday. Martinez did not play Sunday, and he woke up in the middle of the night Monday with his arm in pain after a bursa sack erupted.

Tino Martinez, who has three extra-base hits in eight at-bats against Sheets, was out of the lineup for Tuesday's series opener at Miller Park because of a burst bursa sac in his left elbow.
Martinez was hit on the elbow last week at home against the Brewers. He missed some time but returned to the lineup over the weekend against Houston. However, on Tuesday night, the first baseman felt new discomfort in the elbow.
"It just popped yesterday," Martinez said Tuesday. "It's sore all over now. Before it was just sore in one spot. Now, my whole elbow's sore. But it's all right.
Martinez hopes to return to the lineup Wednesday, or Friday in Phoenix at the latest.
"I played through it against Houston, and it was just sore," he said Tuesday. "Just like a normal soreness. And then last night I woke up in the middle of the night, and it was just aching and swollen. I was like, what happened? Is it sore from the game? I didn't remember diving for a ball or hitting it or anything. And they said this happens."
