Utah Access To Court Records
The Salt Lake Tribune, in an article yesterday which did not make the online edition, discussed the controversy over improved public access to court records. While there is some skittishness about allowing improved access, the state has offered a way to search case dockets for years, although in cumbersome telnet format and with the need to search multiple times across various courts if you are not sure which venue applies.  Also, the Courts charge a fee (albeit modest) for access to these records. The Utah Courts are testing a new web-based system, which allows easier searching across districts.comments or questions [] 9:07:51 AM
