Thunderstorms
WOW...last night we had some very interesting thunderstorms. Lightning and thunder and pretty heavy rains. Most likely, typical run-of-the mill stuff for most of the country...but rare where I live. As the sky darkened into evening the purple flashes of light were followed by the crackle of thunder which you could "feel" into your soul! I watched with amazement the dazzling spectacle, wondering just when the next burst would show itself. This morning I ventured out into the now rain kissed garden to survey the overnight deluge. Ahhh...nothing amiss...only a good thorough soaking. The sun now out, created tiny flickering rainbows in the dew drops that remained. Gives a whole new meaning to the "pot of gold" at the end of the rainbow...I looked...and that rainbow ended in my own yard!
