Today I...

Today I've felt stoned all day. I took Drixoral this morning at about 7 and I've felt off all day, very floaty. It's kinda nice, but I forget how to concentrate.

So I went to the doc and had myself checked out, he said sinus infection, so he's given me all sorts of good drugs to take to clear that up.

Today I managed to install Kung Tunes with the help of Tiffany so that my "I'm listening to" section is updated. The band links actually go to the iTunes Music Store, so if you don't have iTunes 4, you're just hosed. Get a mac and feel better.

And now Dave and I are off to go see X2 on a whim!

Sniffly Links

I am sniffly today and I am finally caving in to go see a doctor this morning 'round noon. I need it so. bad.

...Today is Tony Blair's Birthday. Happy 50th Birthday Tony!!

...Someone has made up a nice chart of all the little funky html characters that everyone should know. Rock ON! (via Inlumninent)

...There's a good breakdown of blogging styles out there. I'm not quite sure where I fall. I have a fear that I'm either a "love" linker or an intra-blogger.

...A few months back, Danny O'Brien, of Oblomovka fame, wrote about the Jhai PC project, to create a PC that a village in Laos could use. It's bicycle powered and uses WiFi to connect villages. It's an incredible project that more people ought to know about, and it's set to launch on May 18th. Wired did a story today about the trials they've faced and the villages who threw them a party when things got really rough.

...It seems as a society, we've forgotten how to write love letters. If you talk to your grandparents, or great-grandparents, or have documents from beyond that era, you'll likely find some love letters amongst the bunch. We're now mired in the text message era, in which a love letter might go something like, "I <3 u so much!!11!! j00 rock!" which, while possibly touching, makes my writer's heart cringe and cry out for the days of Shakespeare and Cyrano. But somebody's trying to help, at least. There's a $40/year service out there for those of you who want to write more loveletters, but can't find the right words.

...Neal Pollock on Terror Sex.

...That is all.
