Attention Verizon

Attention Verizon:

On Friday afternoon I did, indeed, put in a trouble ticket for an ISDN line. Your people were less than helpful and I waited for a good amount of time on hold. I was issued a trouble ticket and they promised I would hear back that very afternoon. I waited on baited breath.

Nothing.

After the long weekend, I came in yesterday afternoon injured and concentrating on a single problem, and haven't had time to return your several phone calls. I appreciate that you think you've diagnosed our problems and that you can do a loopback test, but that doesn't mean that I want the ticket closed.

Moreover, your rep that called me this morning was less than polite to me about the fact that I hadn't gotten back to them about the ticket. Giving me less than an hour to actually handle what you wanted me to handle was a bit impolitic, don't you think? When I explained the situation to the surly rep, she gave me an extra two hours.

This just infuriated me further. My bad for leaving at 5:30 on Friday. My bad for not working on the Monday holiday. My bad for concentrating on a problem that needed to be fixed in our office. My bad for having other things to do.
