BBC: "Servers seized by the FBI from the alternative media network known as Indymedia have been returned."
See also previous posting.
Indymedia: "'The FBI can't pull the plug on more than 20 news websites - our modern printing presses - based on a secret proceeding at the request of a foreign government. This is a flagrant violation of the First Amendment,' said Kevin Bankston, EFF attorney and Equal Justice Works/Bruce J. Ennis Fellow. 'As far as the Constitution is concerned, Indymedia has the same rights as any other news publisher. The government can't shut down the New York Times, and it can't shut down Indymedia.'"

A picture named Nutrition.jpg
The Homeland Security Nutrition Kit contains everything a Culinary Conservative will need when he goes into hiding after the elections: a bottle of H2O - democracy enriched, Rumsfeld's Liberty Spread and a Bible Bar.
More... Never has consumerist conservatism been so cheap.

The blithering idiot, George W. Bush, also lost the third debate. His program is 'read, write and subtract early'. Never add, always subtract, from others; adding is reserved for his own account. George is also good at subtracting democratic votes, he did it in 2000 and is doing it now: "An employee of a private voter registration firm alleges that his bosses trashed registration forms filled out by Democratic voters because they only wanted to sign up Republican voters."
And then, his ill-conceived metaphors, like 'freedom on the march'. George, freedom doesn't march, soldiers do, people do.
During the first debate he even was, let's admit it, wired.
ModBee: "From what they are saying and the way they are saying it, President Bush, his strategists and spinners are clearly thinking about you, 24/7, during this campaign season.
They are thinking you are idiots. Or, at best, just pretty stupid. They are thinking you want to be conned or deceived. Or shucked and jived. Or even lied to. They think you want to hear smooth talk instead of straight talk. Anything except the tough truths."
SensibleForeignPolicy: "Over 650 foreign affairs specialists in the United States and allied countries have signed an open letter opposing the Bush administration's foreign policy and calling urgently for a change of course."
Letter: "We, a nonpartisan group of foreign affairs specialists, have joined together to call urgently for a change of course in American foreign and national security policy."

ICH: "Ironically, our defense corporate-owned/operated media seem to either be oblivious of what is transpiring right before their eyes, or they're in deep denial. Is it possible they just keep making huge mistakes in publishing 'the people's choice' in the debates? Or - place check mark here - are they just so consumed with partisan fervor, or even hate, that they cannot report the true results in the very polls that they themselves conduct? It would appear that the media snake is rearing its ugly head, in fact - a clear trail of twisted venomous deceit is plainly coming out of a very dark 2000 hole.
If you recall, immediately after each debate, all major networks conducted their own independent polling to determine which candidate did the best job. Many people went to these sites and cast their votes. Kerry and Edwards were clearly winners on each one, and by very wide margins. However the networks decided to neither post nor broadcast these results. In fact, soon after each debate, anchors and pundits were blathering either that the candidates were in a dead heat, or Bush was leading 'by a slim margin'."
Remember this: "There is no such thing, at this date of the world's history, in America, as an independent press. The business of the journalists is to destroy the truth, to lie outright, to pervert, to vilify, to fawn at the feet of mammon, and to sell his country and his race for his daily bread. We are the tools and vassals of rich men behind the scenes. We are the jumping jacks, they pull the strings and we dance. Our talents, our possibilities and our lives are all the property of other men. We are intellectual prostitutes." - John Swinton, Chief of Staff New York Times at New York Press Club, 1953.

The Million Worker March is on October 17. You can also voice your opinion there.
You can stop Sinclair broadcasting exclusively anti-Kerry films before the election.
And, most importantly, vote. Demand that you get at least the same health care as Saddam gets from his buddy and fellow-dictator Bush. Vote for Kerry.
Fellow (non-)Americans have a number of possibilities as well.
