Zmag: "Blair brought home to this country his and Bush's illegal, unprovoked and blood-soaked adventure in the Middle East. Were it not for his epic irresponsibility, the Londoners who died in the Tube and on the No 30 bus almost certainly would be alive today.
Blair is using the London bombing to further deplete our rights and those of others, as Bush has done in America. Their goal is not security, but greater control."
It is as if the powers that be have been waiting for these bombings to pass their new control laws. They probably wouldn't have been accepted if the attacks had not taken place. That is the reason why I am highly suspicious about who is behind the attacks. The interests of 'Al-Qaeda' and Bush/Blair seem to be the same. They are all terrorists.

CNN: "The House voted by a wide margin Thursday night to renew expiring provisions of the USA Patriot Act, the collection of antiterrorism measures passed after the September 11, 2001, attacks."
TheRegister: "UK Home Secretary Charles Clarke yesterday announced plans to exclude or deport individuals deemed to have encouraged terrorism via preaching, running web sites or writing articles, and gave further details of plans for new terrorist offences including 'indirect incitement' of terrorism, which is likely to cover similar territory.
'The proposal,' says Clarke, 'targets those who, although not directly inciting, glorify and condone terrorist acts, knowing full well that the effect on their listeners will be to encourage them to turn to terrorism. So indirect incitement, when it is done with the intention of inciting others to commit acts of terrorism - that is an important qualification - will become a criminal offence.' The legislative progress of the 'important qualification' is worth keeping an eye on, and we should also watch out that 'glorify and condone' does not become glorify or condone.
Clarke did not state yesterday that internet publications would be specifically covered in any or all of these new offences, but it seems likely that the law on indirect incitement will match the terms of the new exclusion policy, and it has been previously suggested that reading terrorist web sites could constitute receiving terrorist training. Use of the internet for research has also already figured in several terror trials, in the UK and in other countries
Clarke said yesterday that the Tory and Liberal opposition parties had 'indicated to me that they were in favour of proceeding straight to introduction, without pre-legislative scrutiny, provided that they could have early sight of the draft legislation and that the normal parliamentary procedures and timetable were followed in both Houses'."

The intentions of the lawmakers only become fully apparent when it is too late, just like the US decision to drop atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 was meant to kick-start the Cold War rather than end the Second World War.

The investigation of the bombings is riddled with mistakes, questions and the Iraq war to which the bombings are linked, has dubious business links.
What is really worrying is the disruption of sovereignty, democracy and justice by developments like this.
IrishExaminer: "US investigators, including CIA agents, will be allowed interrogate Irish citizens on Irish soil in total secrecy, under an agreement signed between Ireland and the US last week.
Suspects will also have to give testimony and allow property to be searched and seized even if what the suspect is accused of is not a crime in Ireland."
When the law is being made by people who breach Constitutions and national and international laws, we are, indeed, in a pickle. Criminal governments will always try to stifle truth and freedom; it's their only chance to remain in power - and security is something they can't and won't guarantee; they thrive on insecurity and terror.
