RawStory: "Alexander Litvinenko, the ex-FSB officer who was recently murdered in London, was working for a British security firm at the time of his death, two well placed British sources who wish to remain unidentified tell RAW STORY.
One of the 12 to 24 polonium contamination sites in the Piccadilly area of London identified by British authorities was the office of the security and risk management company Erinys International Ltd.
Erinys has been a player in international relations since it was founded in 2002 by Sean Cleary, a South African Apartheid-era official with ties to Angolan right wing extremist Jonas Savimbi, and Jonathan Garratt, a former British Guards officer. Cleary left the firm in October 2003. Garratt, for his part, has strong ties to Ahmed Chalabi, the notorious source of Iraq pre-war WMD fabrications, and managed to land Erinys an $86 million dollar contract to guard Iraqi oil pipelines after US-led forces began war with Iraq."

WayneMadsenReport: "Of interest is Litvinenko's visit to the London office of the British private military contractor Erinsys, Ltd., which has been linked to Iraqi National Congress neo-con agent of influence Ahmad Chalabi. Erinsys has operations in Britain; Iraq; South Africa; the Nigerian Delta region, and Houston, Texas.
Litvinenko, far from being some sympathetic figure battling the Kremlin, was a central player in a global crime, disinformation, and terrorism network. He had contacts with the mujaheddin movements of Chechnya, Ingushetia, and Dagestan, including the Georgia Pankisi Gorge-based 'Al Qaeda' branch (Al Ansar) led by the Jordanian terrorist Faris Yusef Amirat, aka 'Abu Hafs'; the criminal syndicate of wanted Russian businessman Boris Berezovsky and his accomplices; and other bad actors involved in a host of illegal and dubious activities around the world. Litvinenko also had close links to exiled and wanted Russian oligarch Leonid Nevzlin, now living in Tel Aviv, and Erinsys, Ltd., a British mercenary firm with ties to Iraqi con man Ahmad Chalabi, whose nephew Salem is a business partner of Jerusalem-based Marc Zell, Douglas Feith's former law partner.
One of Litvinenko's associates, who at first claimed to also have been poisoned by polonium but has now been proven to be 'Curveball'-grade prevaricator, is Mario Scaramella, a self-styled Italian spy who has charged that Italy's current Prime Minister, Romano Prodi, was a KGB spy. Scaramella has not only been dismissed as a neo-con tool by the Russian and Italian governments, but has been criticized as an insignificant 'soap bubble' by Oleg Gordievski, the highest-ranking officer to have ever defected from the KGB. Italians, who witnessed Rome being used as a central location for the disinformation used to promote the invasion of Iraq - including the infamous Niger 'yellow cake' documents (involving another dubious Italian information broker named Rocco Martino), know Scaramella as a swindler and a braggart. Scaramella has also been under investigation by Italian authorities in Naples for weapons smuggling.
So who is Scaramella and what are his connections to the right-wing? Scaramella has been a longtime provocateur who has tried to link European progressive politicians and the Russian government with Cold War misdeeds. He is also linked to the Forza Italiana party of former (and indicted) Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, a figure having his own ties to organized crime. Scaramella and Forza Italiana Senator Paolo Guzzanti, coordinated a political attack against Prodi aimed at proving the progressive leftist leader was a KGB spy. Prodi has threatened a lawsuit over the charge. Berlusconi, a major media tycoon, has, like his fellow right-wing media tycoon Rupert Murdoch, used his media holdings to advance a number of right-wing conspiracy theories about leftist and progressive political leaders in Italy and abroad.
Scaramella was a consultant for the Mitrokhin Committee, a body set up by the Italian right-wing-controlled Parliament in 2003 to investigate leftist Italian politicians for their links to the Soviets. The committee was a ruse designed to damage the reputations of Italian progressive leaders. Guzzanti was the committee chairman and another Scaramella friend, Senator Lucio Malan, also of Forza Italiana, served as a member. Italian sources report that Guzzanti told Scaramella that the 'Capo', meaning Berlusconi, was going to be pleased with damaging information Litvinenko could pass on about Prodi. Scaramella also reportedly told Italian right-wing politicians of support from a top-level contact in or close to the U.S. government. That has been taken to mean the CIA, but our Italian sources believe it is likely someone associated with the neo-con network in either the Pentagon or National Security Council of the White House.
Mario Scaramella, the Italian liaison for polonium-210 poisoned ex-Russian KGB agent Alexander Litvinenko, is connected to an array of companies, smuggling operations, and right-wing politicians, according to press reports in Italy. Scaramella ran an organization called the Environmental Crime Prevention Program (ECCP) from his base in Naples in the Campania Region. He is politically-connected to Campania officials, his uncle having once served as the President of Campania. He has also been linked to activities of the powerful Camorra criminal syndicate in Naples.
Scaramella concocted a story that 'KGB agents' were active in San Marino, but it now appears that he sabotaged an international law enforcement investigation of Russian-Israeli weapons nuclear smugglers that were using San Marino as a base. That weapons smuggling operation involved other Russian-Israeli Mafia agents and operatives in Zurich. Fugitive American-Russian-Israeli Mafia capo Marc Rich (former major client of Vice President Dick Cheney's indicted former Chief of Staff Lewis 'Scooter' Libby) maintains his headquarters near Zurich.
The links between Litvinenko, Scaramella, Boris Berezovsky, and other elements of the weapons smuggling Russian-Israeli Mafia and Litvinenko's poisoning on Nov. 1 in London, just a week prior to the November 7 elections in the United States, may indicate that a much larger plot was afoot than in just the corporate media fantasy that Vladimir Putin silenced a political opponent.
Scaramella's Environmental Crime Prevention Program, falsely billed as a European counterpart to the EPA's Center for Strategic Environmental Enforcement, also claims a similar role: 'aerial surveillance and the remote sensing capabilities of satellites to detect environmental crimes in Eastern and Southern Europe and eco-terrorism in Central Africa and South America'.
The compromise of agencies in the United States and Europe that are responsible for monitoring the location and transport of nuclear materials represents an immense danger to public safety around the world.
Intelligence agencies are looking closely at the Environmental Crime Prevention Program (ECPP) of the World Environmental Security Organization, a contrivance put together by Alexander Litvinenko colleague and Silvio Berlusconi interlocutor Mario Scaramella. Scaramella is a key figure in a network of individuals, including exiled Russian-Israeli oligarch Boris Berezovsky, connected to organized crime and right-wing European politicians that may have also acted in concert with U.S. neo-cons to disseminate the bogus Niger documents and a Pentagon special ops team to kidnap an Egyptian imam off a Milan street."
It is clear that those involved in this case, the Russian 'businessmen', their helpers, are all dubious figures with criminal and right-wing contacts. Their purpose seems to be the take-over of governmental networks by neocon business.
The best way for illegal nuclear traffickers to do 'business' is to infiltrate the monitoring institutions and defame those people and governments that could threaten their operations. In short, what we have here is a mob of terrorists shielded by Western secret agencies to promote certain political aims and export revolution to all those countries that are protecting their own economy from neocon attacks.
The 'war on terror' is nothing but a neocon war on the freedom and sovereignty of other nations. And the media are quite happy to continue the good old Cold War against Russia; when definite proof has been obtained that Litvinenko was a nuclear trafficker the news will be hushed up or they will just mention it on page 24. In the meantime our governments are conniving with criminals (they also created the Taliban), which will turn out to be the Trojan horse in our democracy.
