From The Bowels Students of mine from a few years ago probably remember the picture on the left.  I once placed it at the end of a test just to amuse myself.  It seemed to amuse my students, too, and also hatch this theory that the kid in the picture was me.  All day long I had to keep denying that I was the kid in the toilet.  Had to defend charges that my mom would put me in the toilet and take pictures of me.  Had to point out that while the kid certainly has the dashing good looks possessed by moi, I have yet to experience the thrill of riding the porcelain chariot just so.  Even had to show photos of myself when I was much younger.  Even so, some still clung to the dream that not only is Elvis alive and well, but that Mr. Mauldin once sat in a toilet and smiled. Speaking of things I've done, I went through and updated The Best of This Site link off the left.  Feel free to dig around through there if you're new to this site, or to relive some posts from the past if you've been around since the beginning.  My favorite post after scanning through the list is the one about the worst Monday ever from November 10th of last year.  So dig through the bowels of this site by using the Best Of links, or use the calendar on the right to go randomly through the months and days and see what you find.  Your results may vary. 9:02:46 PM     |
