Folding Like The Pros

I'm next to helpless when it comes to folding clothes.  The day self-folding clothes are put on the market will be the day sliced bread gets replaced as the greatest invention of all time.

Part of the problem is I'm terrible at getting my folded clothes to look perfect.  In fact they never do, which frustrates the living hell out of me.  Since I can't do it right, I pretty much don't do it at all until someone lays a heavy guilt trip on me.

To make matters even more complicated, a video has appeared (1.5mb) online demonstrating a new technique in t-shirt folding.  I've watched that video more times than I should, and have even tried to emulate what she's doing, but I still can't get it.  I suck at origami, too.

But you're more than welcome to try it.  And if you can do it, how much would you charge to come over and fold all of mine?

Related link:

  • Same technique explained in detail:  a much longer video (6.1mb) showing the t-shirt folding technique used on long-sleeve shirts and other types of clothes.  Still doesn't help me.  Maybe because I can't understand a word the announcer is saying.

Presidents And Jobs Created Or Lost

Republicans like to tout themselves as pro-business.  Apparently, that doesn't necessarily mean there's going to be more work out there for those wanting a job.  Often times what's good for the bottom line is cutting workers or sending the jobs off somewhere else like Asia.

Found this via slapnose who found it via The American Assembler who found it via the US Department of Labor.
