This Is How You Remind Me You've Run Out Of Ideas

Everytime the Nickelback song "Someday" would come on the radio (and granted, I'm in Germany so it doesn't happen too often, thankfully), something about it bugged the complete crap out of me.  It sounded so familiar, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it, though, since I'm not exactly the world's biggest Nickelback fan and I didn't care to do any more investigating than I had to.

Yet lo and behold, the internet has come to my rescue yet again.  Without any searching whatsoever, I stumbled across a site which answers the burning question:  why does Nickelback's "Someday" sound like you've heard it before?

Because, in a way, you have.  At least if you've ever heard their prior hit, "How You Remind Me."

Click here and you'll be taken to a page which will load up both songs for your listening pleasure.  In fact, both will be played at the same time, with one coming out of your right speaker and the other coming out the left.

Not only will you be shocked/amused/annoyed by what you hear, you'll also find out if you have your speakers hooked-up correctly free of charge.

By the way, bands recycling their sound is nothing new.  For instance, if you buy one AC/DC album, you've pretty much bought them all.  The Nickelback example just happens to be one of the most blatant.
