She Arrives
Well, I managed to find my mother at Heathrow this morning. It was easy enough, especially once I got there over two hours early. I had plenty of time to figure out where she'd be coming out of customs from. Plenty of time to also bore myself to death watching hundreds of other people walk through the arrival doors.
Did see some interesting posters in Heathrow comparing how different cultures see different things. Like lucky numbers. Hand gestures. And in this case, lemons and peppers.
Then we went off to Stansted Airport for our flight to Germany. That went well, too, though there was a group of about a dozen slightly drunk Englishmen on our plane. They kept singing football chants and making rude jokes. Seems like they have plans to tear up Frankfurt this weekend.
So there you go. Mom's here and now I have to keep her busy. Tomorrow she gets the full tour of this area, capped off with dinner at a castle. Then off to Belgium for a full day Saturday.
I'm exhausted just thinking about it, and that's just the first two days.
