A friend wants to do the Avon Walk which for SF Area is from San Francisco to Monterey, first day is 26 miles, second day is 13.1 miles or something like that. I'm thinking about it, actually last night I said sure as long as my feet are ok, I have psorasis on the bottom of my feet and when they are inflamed, it hurts but I'll try. Today I was thinking when is the last time I walked for any distance, how far is a mile, can I even do that? Alot of maps such as google and yahoo don't give you walking distance but I did find one on ask.com that will give you the option of driving directions or walking directions which is nice because not everyone drives.
I think first things first, I want to go to an intro meeting and see what its all about, especially how far do we walk? What happens if we can't make it the 26 miles the first day, do we have to raise money for our walk, do we have teams, where are we staying the first night, how do we get back from Monterey (i'm not walking back..lol), etc. There are a couple of different intro meetings next week.
And if I'm going to commit to this, I'm going to have to start walking alot before July and then I need to get my cat sitter lined up for that weekend and make sure I have no deadlines that weekend.. You know though, if I start walking, I might start to lose this weight and maybe cut down on my smoking. And oh yea, I need to get some comfortable walking shoes that aren't covered in mud.

half my stories links don't work, i can't post what I'm really feeling, my garage keeps flooding, I have cramps from hell, this bites.
but I am smarter than the average bear, so life doesn't suck all that much, just sorta bites right at the moment.

I have this sense - sometimes I see people's auras, not often but sometimes but with little kids and some adults, I get a sense of their power/totem animals. My niece is a monkey, I just got this sense of a monkey when I thought of her and when I went to the toy store, the monkeys jump out at me - saying pick me. Tonight I met this amazing little boy Mason, he's got the biggest bluest eyes and a strong grip and when I went to the toy store, my first sense was I was going to get him a frog but when I got there, a purple dragon, the only one left, just called to me and I knew that it was for him even before I met him and when I met him finally - he's definetly a dragon, his power animal is a dragon, he's going to grow up a strong little guy especially with a dragon watching over him. Found an interesting site for animal totems and specifically for dragon totems. Dragons are said to be old spirits from the earth, strong and fierce protectors.
The site I found also has some interesting information about trees and herbs. Interesting that the Ash tree is representation of Ygdrasill, the world tree, and one of the Fairy Triad: oak, ash and thorn. I do have one ash tree and one elm tree in my yard, the elm tree represents feminine energy and is home of the fairies - all makes perfect sense to me and why I choose this house or maybe this house choose me.

when did the united states become 52 states? I thought there were 51 states but in the Miss America pageant - yea, I was watching, not much else on TV tonight and I didn't feel like working anymore tonight but that's not the point, when did we become 52 states? So I researched it a little and I was wrong, there are only actually 50 states but why is the Miss America pageant is representing 52 states for the Miss America title when there are only 50 states in the US. I'm so confused.
