This is a post-blizzard shot of Colorado's amazing Wet Mountain Valley. Those hills over there are the Sangre de Cristos, so named because they blaze blood red every sunrise. We spent the weekend there, where I crested the the "hill" on the second panel of the diagonal kimono.
And have any of you heard about this?

Scott Simon and Daniel Pinkwater read from this delightful little tome on Weekend Edition. The Red Wolf is a classic fairy tale about an intrepid little princess who knits her way to selfhood. (That's the little royal above dressed in the red wool wolf suit she knit with her birthday yarn.)
Daily war rant: Sec. Donald Rumsfeld, fuming over media coverage of the looting in Bagdahd, which resulted in the wholesale pillaging of more than 100,000 artifacts from Iraq's national museum, said, "Stuff happens."
