Mea culpa, MagKnits Get thee to MagKnits, go! Completely forgot to mention the launch of the new online knitting magazine, MagKnits. Some delightful whimsies by some of our favorite knit bloggers. They will make you gasp, "Some people are so creative!" Give it a peak. Blogs slog: A new study called the Pew Internet and American Life Project reports that only 2 to 7 percent of Internet users blog and that among those only 10 percent update them daily. (Hey some of us want our weekends!) Doesn't it seem like things are more vibrant in our corner of the blogosphere? Or maybe all us knitter/writer/Rat/Cancers are just a little touched? Pretty in pink 'Paca goodness: Thought I'd display my bouty from the Alpaca Extravagana--some petal pink fingering weight yarn from the Larkspur Funny Farm. I'm thinking--pretty lace scarf. Driving me crazy: Was feeling sassy the other day as I embarked on designing the Nake-id Newsboy. I downloaded some gauge-appropriate graph paper from the online graph paper generator--do you guys know about this? Looked up some hat patterns, measured my noggin and cast on. Though I think I'm on the right track, I totally f*cked the crown. So there be some rippage happenin' this afternoon. And though Ann Norling's already gone and designed one (see Ann Norling No. 28), I'm pressing on just to see if I can do it. The Oscars: Could they have been more boring? Thank God for Billy Crystal.
