What not to wear with a grey fleece sweat shirt
Novelty wears off: Had an emergency birthday gift to stitch this weekend. See the result above and for a close up...you know what to do. I trust it will show to better advantage when paired with a crisp white blouse and denim capris. And post steaming.
Here at Nake-id Knits, we love novelty yarns. Collect them, in fact. But have come to the realization that fantasy is better than reality. Knit from S. Charles's Cancun (color Fantasia), a pale green rayon mill end and KFI's Flutter in color 05, this accessory became an exercise in untangling, stitch dropping and F-bombing. Wine was sipped. Curses were hurled. And fiber was flung. Remarkable that we consider these things beginning projects when our stitches are obscured by such dense pink underbrush.
Speaking of beginning projects, many thanks to everyone for your suggestions on how to launch beginners on the path to knitting righteousness. Some very clever and purposeful ideas came this way. Gracias.
The Donald: Former White House counter terrorism advisor Richard Clarke in his hot-off-the-presses tell all, reports that in the wake of 9-11, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld suggested that the United States bomb Iraq instead of Afghanistan because Iraq had "better targets." Clarke thought Rumsfeld was joking, but it turns out Dr. Strangelove was deadly serious. Marvel comics, anyone?
