Would you rather fight than switch?
How do you do it? Continental style? English? Or combined?
In finishing that bit of hot pink fluff I'm taking to my niece in California, I thought I'd try some Euro knitting. I tangled the yarn in my left (left!) hand and started picking. Pick. Pick. Pick. It's like learning to use chopsticks without dribbling lo mein down your front. After a few rows of fumbling, it began to feel almost natural--not fast, just natural.
Given how ingrained (cough, 30-plus years) I am as an English knitter (who thought up that lasso bit anyway?), I would love to knit Continental or combined. So much cleaner. More efficient. Faster. You know how it goes, teaching old dogs new tricks and all that. Change is hard.
How do y'all knit?
Go west, young lady: We're heading to Oakland this afternoon to see family and tour about. And hopefully I'll get a chance to meet Rachael of the Newly Healthy Lungs. Get better, girl!
And, the rest of you, have a great week.
