The Secret Life of Bees: The above was knit from Sharon Turner's "Yellow Jacket" in MonkeySuits. Given that I was on a bit of a crunch, I adapted the cardie to a pullover with shoulder buttons for easy entry. (I know you're dying for a glimpse of that shoulder detail, so here you go.) I also dispatched with the picot hems--cute, but time consuming--opting instead for the easy-to-knit rolled edge.
I tend to like cotton for baby knits--Butterfly Super 3 aran-weight makes for tout suite shower gifts--the colors pop and the garment washes and cotton is easy on baby skin. And isn't that hat the best? Becky convinced me the bebe chapeau was a must-knit.
