Cabling Without a Brain
Must-Have-More-Time! The Must-Have Cardie is inching its way toward completion--2/3 of a front left, edging, blocking, seaming, zippering. I'm mad to finish it so as to begin the Audrey Knit-a-Long. I know you're in a lather to revisit my Must-Have, so here's a glimpse of a sleeve...

Araucania Nature Wool 25 (I think)
I've adored knitting this sweater in spite of all the mishaps. Like a good, meaty read that pushes you toward the final page, I regret to see it end even as I rush toward the finish. Speaking of rushed endings, I've been trying to wrap my head and yarn around no-needle cabling--quite the mind-f*ck that. I zip along to the cables, panic, breathe and then think, uh, this stitch goes to the back, these three come forward and to the left, so my needle needs to grab the first...oh hell.
Finally, after lots of trial and error I 'm starting to get the hang. This method is probably faster, though it has yet to be for me. But I'm fretting that one gets hinkier, less attractive cables without the needles. Mine look a little wonky. Thoughts from the blogsperts?
