Baby Boom: This sweet number is destined for a little girl named Lily, who's due to come into this world in about two weeks. (At last, a sensible mother who understands the benefits of alerting the knitters in her life to baby's gender.) I've been dying to knit a wee dress, and this one, adapted from Jil Eaton's MinnowKnits, will utlimately feature black-and-white polka dot bows up the sleeves. I'm hoping that as Lily grows, she'll be able to get more mileage by wearing the dress as a tunic with leggings.
Details? Cotton Classic II in hot pink on US size 8's--I cheated and adapted the pattern to a quicker-to-knit gauge.
