Back or wing?

Lafiesta MIL
The next best thing to an FO: A finished piece! Don't you just love completing the first component on a project? So satisfying to bind off those shoulders and free your needles. Such a tangible symbol of things to come.
Unlike Bonne Marie and others, I'm a back girl, meaning I don't mind knitting sleeves. I go right for the back, then the breast, then finally I tackle the wings. Though I see the wisdom in knitting a garment sleeve first--great way to perfect a pattern and get the kinks out, I'm a creature of habit. Plus, when did wisdom ever guide things here at Nake-id Knits?
Bet you want me to quit gassing on about sleeves and get to the scandalous parts? Behold, the naughty sheer yoke:

Not that LafiestaMIL photographs well, but you can see how the tight little rows of garter give way to the lacier fabric uptop. This is accomplished by knitting alternate rows on small and large needles (in this case US 6s and US 11s). I'm hoping that some shots of steam will ease those lumpen pits. What do you think?
